Members must instill the highest respect for the heating, ventilating, airconditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) contracting profession within theircommunities.
Members must maintain strict compliance with all laws, regulations, andordinances pertaining to the HVACR industry and business operations enacted inaccordance with federal, state, county, and municipal governments.
Members must design, install, service, and repair HVACR systems in accordancewith accepted industry standards.
Members must develop and maintain an understanding of proper equipmentselection to assure customers of safe, dependable, and comfortableperformance.
Members must ensure that quality, honesty, integrity, and good faith arehallmarks of contractors & business practices, including individual contractor sales,advertising, installations, and service of HVACR systems.
Members must maintain a clean, safe, respectable, and well-identified place ofbusiness commensurate with the high standards of the HVACR profession. Members should increase the safety and efficiency of the HVACR contractingindustry by requiring all staff.
members to participate in the education and trainingprograms that are sponsored by Southeast Michigan Air Conditioning ContractorsAssociation and affiliated training organizations.
Members should develop the highest quality standards of customer service andnurture long-term relationships with customers.
Members should encourage business development in which skilled andprofessional HVACR contractors are empowered to provide high-level services toconsumers and end-users.
Members should refrain from engaging in any activity defined as crosssubsidization.
Members agree to not discuss with other Southeast Michigan Air ConditioningContractors Association
members or HVACR contractors within the communityany prices, fees, rates, or features that can impact prices such as discounts,costs, terms and conditions of sales, warranties, or profit margins.
